About Delphine

Delphine Ravenel grew up surrounded by Charleston's arts community—her mother was a docent at the Gibbes Museum and her father played cello with the Charleston Symphony. She studied art history at the College of Charleston and earned a master's in cultural journalism from Columbia. Before joining Charleston Sentinel, she wrote for Charleston Magazine and covered Spoleto Festival for NPR affiliate SCETV. Delphine serves on the board of the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art and lives South of Broad.
